Alan Wyatt is a member of the Lee University School of Music full-time faculty. A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Wyatt teaches classes such as Applied Saxophone, Commercial Music Theory and History and Improvisation, and is the conductor of both the Lee University Jazz Ensemble and Pep Band. He also serves as the Area Coordinator for the Music Business degree program. Wyatt completed his graduate studies in jazz and commercial music and joined the Lee team as a full-time instructor in 1996. Wyatt maintains his high level of performance through engagements with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Knoxville Jazz Orchestra, among others. Wyatt has served as a clinician and performer for area jazz festivals, most recently for the East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association as clinician and improvisation lecturer for the Senior Jazz Clinic.
