Our Warranty

We are pleased to offer a limited warranty on all EASTMAN (WINDS) and ANDREAS EASTMAN instruments for the period of 5 (five) years from the date of purchase, against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only, and is valid when purchased from an authorized dealer. This warranty covers only the instrument and does not include accessories, felts, springs, pads, or corks. Cases carry a limited one-year warranty from the date of purchase either when purchased separately or as an outfit with a wind instrument.

What is covered?

All EASTMAN (WINDS) and ANDREAS EASTMAN woodwind and brasswind instruments are guaranteed to be free from defect in materials or workmanship. Cracks in wooden instruments will be replaced within one year and repaired thereafter.

Conditions and Eligibility

Eastman Music Company will, at its option, repair or replace any item found to have been defective in materials or manufacture under the terms state here. Eastman Music Company shall be the sole arbiter of eligibility for warranty repair or replacement. EASTMAN (WINDS) and ANDREAS EASTMAN’S liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective items.

To be eligible for warranty coverage, the original purchaser of the item must present the defective item, together with the original receipt of purchase, to the dealer from which it was purchased. The dealer will then make all necessary arrangements with the Eastman Music Company for repair or replacement of the defective item. This eligibility is limited to the original owner, whether through outright purchase or through lease or rental programs. The Eastman Music Company reserves the right to make changes to this warranty. Policies in place at the time of purchase will be honored.

What is not covered?

This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration, or malfunction due to accident, misuse, abuse, negligence or improper handling; items that have been altered or on which the serial number has been modified, removed or defaced; normal wear and tear; periodic maintenance; conditions caused by perspiration, corrosive environment, or extremes in temperature or humidity; corks, pads, felt parts, and springs. Any item submitted for warranty that is found ineligible will be given an estimate for repair and work will only be performed at the customer’s request.

Cases

This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser for the period of 1 (one) year. Damage caused by either normal wear, or by misuse or neglect is not covered. EASTMAN (WINDS) and ANDREAS EASTMAN’S liability is limited to the case only. Damage to instruments or other personal property being stored or transported in EASTMAN (WINDS) and ANDREAS EASTMAN cases is not covered by this or any other Eastman Music Company warranty.
